Nhuc Tran, born on 13th October 1987 in UK, currently working internationally as a professional model. She was first approached by a fashion photographer on”Myspace” in July 2007, she was advised to join to various modelling networking sites. Two weeks after she tried so, what had started out as a test turned into a fashion carreer, Nhuc had her first booking set up with a fashion and agency photographer Mike Bowes and the talented make up artist Alicia Samuels. From there on her impressive performance electrified the undergound of the fashion industry.
Through networking and organising was highly reccommended and book on lots of shoots, Nhuc managed to build up a strong portfolio with a large variety of looks and images. Her hard work paid off when she had her first magazine shoot for “The Economist” magazine in August 2007, and then her second magazine shoot for teen magazine “Bliss”.
Being in the ethnic minority and not in the typical fashion model requirements, Nhuc found it a struggle to be signed to a reputable modelling agency. After weeks of searching, Nhuc signed with UK based modelling agency, Base Models, and has since been featured on videos, fashion shows and magazines such as this one and Practical Photography. She has worked alongside talented and highly recomended photographers such as Lara Jade, Titus Powell and Ajay Chag.
2008 will see Nhuc doing more photoshoots and fashion shows aswell as acting work. Nhuc states her main aim is to raise awareness of oriental models and models in the ethnic minority.
